CyclingSavvy is a three-part course:
Truth & Techniques (classroom), Train Your Bike (on-bike skills), and the Tour of Your City.
Truth & Techniques and Train Your Bike sessions are prerequisites for taking a City Tour session. As such, the City Tour sessions will not be visible below until you select both of the prerequisite sessions.
If you've ever taken a CyclingSavvy session in the past, LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT NOW so your training history is accessed. That way, you will be able to see and register for City Tour sessions without having to register again for prerequisite sessions you've already completed.

I love to empower individual cyclists to ride with confidence wherever they want to go. I believe we can transform our traffic culture, through education and social marketing, into one which recognizes that roads are for all people, not just the ones driving cars.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. —Michelangelo
Cycling in Central Florida area for over 20 years ... Commute to work daily by bicycle, let us show you how easy it can be!
After some time as a recreational cyclist, I wanted to be able to get to destinations not served by bike trails, but I was nervous about riding around cars and trucks. The Cycling Savvy program showed me that it was not only fun and easy, but that my safety was directly related to my own behavior. I am excited to now be able to share what I have learned and empower others as I have been!
I have been a recreational cyclist in Central Florida for several years and love every aspect of it. My thirst for knowledge about cycling eventually led me to Cycling Savvy. I took the class and the principles just made sense to me and made me feel confident and empowered. I’m excited to share this curriculum with others!
Mrs. Reynolds loves riding her bike - and loves empowering others to successfully ride their bikes too!
I've been riding in traffic my whole life but only doing it properly since completing the Cycling Savvy course in 2013. I was so impressed with the training and the new freedom it provided, I became a certified CS Instructor in early 2014.
CyclingSavvy gave me the tools and confidence I needed to start commuting to work by SunRail/Bike when SunRail first opened in Orlando in May, 2014. Cycled 7 miles each way on Sand Lake Rd, during rush hour. Turned out, it was the least stressful part of my day!
Captain of the Lockheed Martin Cycling Team for the American Diabetes Association's annual Tour de Cure fundraising event since 2013 and Route Planning Chair for the Orlando TdC event since 2011.
What I love most about being a CyclingSavvy instructor is seeing the smiles on the faces of novices as they drive their bicycles through complex intersections that the most seasoned cyclists avoid! My first driving experience was on my robin's egg blue Raleigh bicycle. I would ride up and down the streets of Webster, NY (Rochester area), pretending that I was driving a car. My mom even has me on 8mm film "parallel parking" my bike at the downtown Woolworths! My Raleigh is long gone but my passion for bicycling remains. I look forward to sharing the CyclingSavvy strategies…and to the smiles. Let's ride!
I have over 40 years experience with urban transportation cycling and for 20 years have worked as the bicycle and pedestrian planner for the regional transportation planning agency, MetroPlan Orlando. I've done extensive work at analyzing bicyclist crash causes and countermeasures. I am a founding board member of the American Bicycling Education Association, and along with Keri Caffrey I co-founded ABEA's traffic cycling curriculum -- CyclingSavvy. Nothing makes me feel better than to see someone I've taught out on the roads, cycling with a big smile on his or her face.

“It's given me back the big roads on my trips around town. I still prefer the quiet streets, but when needed, I don't fear the big streets anymore.”
